2010 Hope for the Holidays Drive

Spearheaded by Bar Association Past President John Sawicki in 2006, the Annual "Hope for the Holidays" drive collects financial donations to assist individuals and families, identified by the Middlesex County Board of Social Services, as being in genuine need, during the holiday season. Most of these people are simply in need of warm bedding and clothes for the winter months.

The program has donated nearly $20,000 to the needy during the December holidays since its inception.

All bar members are encouraged to circulate this notice around your office and to colleagues and friends. You do not need to be a member of the association to participate in this effort.

Donations should be made payable to the Middlesex County Bar Foundation, referencing the 2009 Hope For The Holidays Drive and delivered to the Middlesex County Bar Association office at 87 Bayard Street in New Brunswick, by Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Monies collected will be delivered to the Middlesex County Board of Social Services. As with last year, elves from the MCBSS will then purchase and wrap the gifts to be distributed.

In the continuing spirit of the holiday season, the Bar Foundation thanks everyone who has contributed to this effort over the past four years and we hope you will be able to participate again this year.
